Frequently asked

Sizing, shipping, returns, and how to care for a garment that is meant to be worn in.

Sizing & fit

How do I know which size to order?

Every product page carries its own sizing recommendation, just above the size buttons — read that one rather than assuming a size carries across the collection. The blanks we print on are cut differently on purpose, and the same person can wear three different sizes across them without anything being wrong.

How do the different tees fit?

We print on AS Colour and Next Level blanks. Each has its own intended fit:

  • Heavy Faded Tee (AS Colour 5082) — boxy and oversized, with dropped shoulders and wide neck ribbing. It runs oversized by design. If you want a more fitted look, size down.
  • Staple Stone Wash Tee (AS Colour 5040) — a regular crew-neck fit. True to size; order your usual.
  • Cotton Crew Tee (Next Level 3600) — a semi-fitted retail cut that runs fitted. Size up if you prefer it relaxed.
  • Women’s Maple V-Neck (AS Colour 4023) — a women’s regular fit, side-seamed and preshrunk. True to size.

Will a garment-dyed or stone-washed tee shrink?

These finishes are applied to the finished garment, which means most of the shrinking has already happened before the shirt reaches you. Wash cold and dry low and it will hold its shape. Hot water and a hot dryer will shrink any cotton tee, ours included.

Shipping

Where do you ship?

Within the United States only, for now. We are not currently able to ship internationally.

What does shipping cost?

It is calculated at checkout from your address and order — we quote live carrier rates, so you see the exact cost before you pay. There is nothing to choose and no code to enter. More detail is on the Shipping & Returns page.

When will my order arrive?

Orders ship within 3–5 business days of being placed, and the carrier delivery estimate is shown at checkout with the rate. You will get a tracking email the moment it leaves us.

Returns & exchanges

What is your return policy?

All sales are final. Every piece is made to order, so we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for sizing or a change of mind — please review the size guide before ordering. The full policy is on the Shipping & Returns page.

Can I exchange for a different size?

Because each piece is made to order, sizing is final — we are not able to swap sizes after an order is placed. Every product page carries its own sizing note above the size buttons; read that before you order, and email adam@redironcollective.com if you are unsure and we will help.

My order arrived damaged, or it is the wrong item.

Then it is ours to fix. Email adam@redironcollective.com within 7 days of delivery, with a photo if you can, and we will make it right with a replacement or refund.

Orders & payment

Is checkout secure?

Yes. Payment is processed by Stripe, on Stripe’s own hosted checkout page. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s systems and never touch ours — we do not see, handle, or store your card number.

What payment methods do you accept?

All the major cards, plus the wallets Stripe offers at checkout — Apple Pay and Google Pay among them, depending on your device and browser. All prices are in US dollars.

Can I change or cancel my order?

If it has not shipped yet, we will do our best. Email adam@redironcollective.com as soon as you can, with your order number. Once an order is with the carrier it becomes a return.

I never got a confirmation email.

Check your spam folder first — that is usually where it is. If it is not there, email adam@redironcollective.com with the name and address on the order and we will find it.

Care

How should I wash these?

Our tees are garment-dyed, stone-washed, or pre-laundered combed cotton. They are made to be worn in rather than worn out, and they will get better with age if you treat them gently:

  • Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors.
  • Use a mild detergent. Skip the bleach and the fabric softener.
  • Tumble dry low, or hang to dry — kinder still.
  • Do not iron directly over the print. Iron inside out, or press around it.

Why is my tee a slightly different shade than the photo?

Because it was dyed as a finished garment. Small shifts in shade from piece to piece are inherent to garment-dyeing and stone-washing — it is the reason the fabric looks lived-in from day one. No two are exactly alike, and that is the point.

Will the print crack?

Not if you wash it cold and inside out. Heat is what breaks a print down — hot water, a hot dryer, and an iron laid straight onto it. Avoid those three and the graphic will outlast the shirt.

Contact

How do I reach a person?

Email adam@redironcollective.com. A real person reads it, and we answer as quickly as we can — usually within a couple of business days. Include your order number if your question is about an order; it saves a round trip.

How do I join the Club itself?

The apparel and the community are two doors into the same house. Read about the Club and where the membership community lives.

Didn’t find it?

Email adam@redironcollective.com and ask. We would rather answer a question than have you guess at a size.
