The Club
A community of Christian entrepreneurs who believe the marketplace is not a detour from the calling. It is the calling.
Our story
Doing Business God’s Way.
Christian Entrepreneur Club began in San Diego with a question that would not leave: what would a business look like if God actually ran it? Not as a plaque in the lobby or a verse in the footer — as the operating authority over every decision the company makes.
Founded by Cody & Esther Cottle, CEC has grown into a fellowship of more than 600 members building in all fifty states — founders, freelancers, operators, and owners who refuse to keep their faith and their work in separate rooms. Some run agencies. Some run farms. Most are quietly doing the next right thing in a business nobody has heard of yet.
What holds them together is not an industry or a stage of growth. It is a conviction: that the ledger and the altar were never meant to be strangers.
What we hold
Four convictions we build on
Your marketplace is your ministry
The work is not a means to the ministry. The work is the ministry. A contract honored, a payroll met, a customer served well — these preach without saying a word, in rooms a sermon will never reach.
Built under authority
“God Is My CEO” is not a slogan about ambition. It is a statement about who is actually in charge. It reorders the whole enterprise: the strategy, the hiring, the margin, the pace — all of it submitted, none of it self-owned.
Stewardship over ownership
Nothing on the balance sheet originated with us. What we hold, we hold on loan — to be tended, grown, and given away. Provision is a trust, not a trophy.
Excellence as worship
Craft is a form of reverence. We do the work carefully because careless work misrepresents the One it is done for. The seams, the stitching, the fabric — that conviction is why this apparel is made the way it is.
Deuteronomy 8:18
“But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today.”
